“From an early age, I looked critically at my environment. Even then, I thought: how would I make this myself?” This is how Bas Vellekoop describes his intrinsic motivation to enhance the everyday living environment. His focus is on product design, and he has successfully put various designs like the Fold and Stringer tables, and the Quintus and Hexa lighting, into production.
